This means that I am about authentic, emotive portraiture; whether it is a fine art nude, maternity, birth, newborn or senior portrait session. My work is fashion-forward, rich in depth, and hopelessly romantic.
The All-Inclusive Portrait Experience
I want to document the transformational chapters of your story.
Over the past 15 years and thousands of portrait commissions, I have found that my clients view their portrait session as an investment in themselves. They recognize the value in documenting this moment for generations to come, knowing that they are valuable, their lives are worth celebrating, and the images we create are what will remain to enjoy for the rest of their lives. They want a hand made, custom designed album on their coffee table to share with friends and family when they entertain. They want art on their walls and night stands that remind them that this life is worth treasuring. They don't want to have to choose between a 1 hour or a 3 hour session. They don't want to sacrifice a stunning framed wall print in lieu of having their digital files. They realize they may only do this type of experience a handful of times in their whole lives and they don't want to have any regrets. This is why I only offer 'all-inclusive' portrait sessions.
What Is Included:
2-3 hour portrait session photographed on-location at choice of outdoor locations or luxury hotels and bed & breakfasts
Professional hair & make-up
Album & wall-art credit to apply toward your choice of print products
Pre-session style consultation
print & sharing rights of 50 fully edited digital files
In-person 'reveal' and guided artwork consultation
Online gallery to share with family and friends
All-Inclusive portrait commissions start at $1200 (smaller packages can be custom created)
* Because I photograph clients from coast to coast every year (and sometimes across the pond), the cost of travel will be added to the portrait commission accordingly.
Step 1- A quick 10-15 minute phone call to help me understand what you are looking for and get to know you a bit better. This is a great time for you to get a first impression and see if I might be a good fit.
Step 2- We've talked, you've spent some time soaking up my portfolio and chilling on my social media, and you've decided that I'm your girl!
Step 3- You say, 'Yes!' and we are off to the races, scheduling your engagement session and follow-up appointments.
Step 4- About 1 month before your session, we meet to plan your wardrobe and locations for your session.
Step 5- We photograph your session! Woot!
Step 6- 4-6 weeks after your session, you will come to your in-person 'reveal'. During this time you will come to the studio and allow me to pamper you as you as we view all of your images. Next, I provide a guided artwork consultation to help you choose how you want to incorporate the beautiful art we have created into your life with our handmade albums and stunning wall-art and display options.
What You Get For Your Investment
Quality- Luxury portraiture is always about quality, not quantity. I work with the highest quality professional cameras, lenses, equipment and software to provide the best images possible. I am a professional with over 15 years in the industry and boast thousands of clients that I now consider friends. I was voted 'The Best Photographer' in Alaska's capital in 2015 & 2018- then I moved back home to Colorado. I have strong relationships with the vendors in the industry and am highly recommended by them and my previous clients. The fine-art prints, wall art and albums I offer are hand made right here in the USA by true professionals that stand behind their work. I am professionally licensed and insured, which is important.
Persona- Maybe you wouldn't consider this when choosing your photographer, but who they are is important. Do the images you see in her portfolio show authentic emotion and invoke feelings for you? If so, that is the work of a photographer putting their client at ease; helping them feel comfortable with in front of the camera. Let's be real- that isn't a natural feeling! I nearly panic when I am the one in front of the camera! Without a warm spirit on the other side of the lens, you get images that feel 'pinched' and forced. When you meet your photographer you should feel safe and relaxed; like she can handle the vision you have for your session. I have heard from my clients that I made them feel so at-ease and that they felt like they made a friend. That is huge. I may not be everyone's cup of tea but if I am yours- trust your gut!
Experience- Your photographer should provide you with more than nice photos; you should feel that you had a great experience. It is my goal to help you feel heard, understood, supported and valued from the very first day we meet. I want you to have clear expectations and know what's coming up next as we take this artistic journey together. The way I provide this is by authentic connection and genuine care. Every client is given a personal 'portal' to have access to all of their important dates, documents, galleries & album designs in one place! I strive to make your photography process easy for you. I am in your corner and I want you to feel that from start to finish.
Personal Touch- In order for many photographers to keep up with their crazy schedules, some outsource various parts of their workflow to others, outside of their studio. When you hire me to photograph your portraits; you are getting all of me. Every portrait commission requires over 5 hours of post processing to create the final product that you will call your own. I personally select every image used, I adjust any details that will make the image a better one and edit them to fit the style and emotion you hired me to provide. Every album is designed from scratch for each couple. And when your final wall art and albums arrive, I deliver them to you myself, when geographically possible.
